HOPE IN ACTION
Mobilizing hope through visual storytelling and leadership
Hope in Action is a project born from my involvement in the Mobilizing Hope: 2021 Student Leadership Symposiumunder the theme Building Hope Through Radical Truths. Nominated as a student leader, I was tasked not only with contributing to discussions of resilience and systemic change but also with bringing my graphic design skills to visualize the collective spirit of the event.
Working alongside Cicely Belle Blain—a renowned author, activist, and anti-racist consultant who led the keynote session—I created a series of infographic posters that distilled the symposium’s core messages into powerful, accessible visual artifacts. Designed with care and intention, these graphics aimed to extend the symposium’s impact beyond the event itself, giving attendees tools they could carry forward into their own communities and work.
This project reflects my belief that design can be an agent of social change—bridging radical ideas and everyday action through clear, empathetic storytelling.
